Bio

JA Collective, founded by Jordan Johnson and Aidan Carberry at USC’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, fuses hip-hop, acting, contemporary dance, and theater into a singular movement language. Best known for their creative partnership with half•alive, they’ve shaped the band’s tours, music videos, and TV appearances while also collaborating with artists like Future, Frank Ocean, Paul McCartney, and brands such as Apple, Gucci, and Belvedere Vodka. They’ve worked with acclaimed filmmakers including Taika Waititi and Olivia Wilde, and tour internationally with William Forsythe’s “Friends of Forsythe,” which they helped choreograph. In 2024, they premiered work with SF Dance Works, spoke at the TED Conference, and won first place at Masdanza in Spain. Their upcoming projects include a new ballet for BalletX, works with SF Dance Works and Club Guy & Roni, and a 2026 debut in Japan.
